SUNY Oswego offers several facilities and programs that provide unique learning experiences and opportunities for students.
Thanks to renovations and innovative programs, some buildings on the
Oswego campus have become learning laboratories. The Campus Center
Complex, consisting of new construction and exhaustive renovations, has become a new social and academic hub for the campus.
Johnson Hall, reopened in fall 2003 after renovations, serves as the home sweet home for the First-Year Residential Experience. Hart Hall hosts the Global Living and Learning Center, which focuses on social responsibility, community service and international awareness. Riggs Hall, the most recently renovated residence hall, hosts a number of special learning communities. Rich Hall, which also reopened in fall 2003 after an extensive renovation, offers a new, state-of-the-art home for the School of Business.
The college's Penfield Library hosts more than 2.5 million items as well as a new cozy, cosmopolitan café. Students can showcase their creativity during exhibitions at Tyler Art Gallery. Those interested in nature or biology can appreciate hands-on learning and research among the diverse habitats of Rice Creek Field Station.
SUNY Oswego also recently launched a presence in downtown Syracuse with the new Metro Center, which access to Oswego’s MBA program, graduate courses in education and the
liberal arts, customized and contract training, and small business
consulting.
