Media Information

♦ Interviews - All interviews with coaches, student-athletes and staff members must be coordinated through the Office of Sports Information. Immediately following games the locker rooms are closed. Player and coach interviews, however, may be conducted outside locker rooms or on the playing surface after a minimal, 10-minute cooling off period.

♦ Practices - Practices are open to the media whenever necessary, but please provide advance notice of attendance.

♦ Credentials - All credential requests to cover Oswego State athletics should be directed to Adele Burk, SID. All single-game credential requests should be received no later than 48 hours prior to game time. Credentials are for working media, including print and electronic (radio & television). Media outlets are restricted in accordance with SUNY Oswego, the State Universities of New York Athletic Conference and NCAA rules and guidelines. It is the SID's intention to ensure proper, professional use is made of the space available for credentialed media.

♦ Press Row - Working press row credentials shall be issued to the opposing SID, accredited newspapers, radio and television reporters ONLY. Requests from other media sources shall be evaluated on a game-by-game basis. The visiting SID will be allowed the first opening if there is extra seating available.

♦ Media Services - At most athletic events, the media have access to wireless Internet use as well as phone and fax lines. Photocopiers are also available upon request. The Oswego State sports information staff will provide working media with season statistics, media guides and/or game notes, if applicable, prior to the game per request. At the end of the contest, a final box and play-by-play statistics will be distributed.

♦ Radio/TV
- Any visiting radio/TV broadcasts must reserve their seating the week of the scheduled contest.

♦ Photographers - The Sports Information Office typically has a volunteer photographer at all home games for most sports. These photographs are intended soley for use by Oswego State.  Photographers must apply for credentials and are asked to stay at least 10 feet from the playing surface and shoot from standard shooting positions. All SUNYAC and NCAA rules must be followed regarding media representatives on the sidelines. Failure to comply could result in the loss of credential.
